My Students

I am a Literacy Coach that supports teachers and students in kindergarten, first and second grade. I work closely with each teacher to support them as they provide research based literacy instruction.

The school is a Title I school with many children who are English language learners.

Our students work hard and they are eager and excited to learn.

My Project

I work with first and second graders who are struggling to learn to read in their classroom.

The students will learn systematic, multi-sensory, explicit Phonics using sand, hand movements, games, poetry and decodables.

I paid for this specific training out of my own pocket but I need your help with providing some of the materials needed to properly teach my lessons. I use sand and movement to help the children learn and remember letters and words. Each item I am asking for will not only be used by my small group but also shared with the grade level teachers.
