My Students

I love my students and my community! I have amazing students who are driven and always strive to succeed. These students exhibit a wide range of academic skills that demand a variety of ways to enhance their learning. As a teacher, I try to provide engaging, rigorous, and differentiated activities every day.

It is important to me that I provide effective instruction for all my students, including those with special needs.

I love finding ways to reach all the learning needs in my classroom.

My Project

This fall I attended a professional development conference in my state. One of the classes I went to was about a multi-sensory approach to math and I was blown away! I was left craving more. The presenters let me know about this course by Marilyn Zecher. In this course, I will be able to learn to apply a multi-sensory approach in guiding students from foundation skills and numeracy to place value, operations, fractions and decimals.

This approach is especially effective with students who learn differently.

It will also benefit all students. This approach is advocated by the National Math Panel and the NCTM. I would love the opportunity to improve my math instruction!
