My Students

My students are leaders of the future. They are curious, positive, and taking charge of their learning. Although they come from a high-poverty area in Boston, they are hard-working and deserve the absolute best. The majority of the students in my classroom are ELLs, English Language Learners. 65% of the students at school speak a first language other than English. The faculty, administration, and support staff are dedicated to our students, and we are all proud to be part of the same team.

My Project

Many students have regressed or have had greater difficulty learning during remote school over the past two school years. Through the use of multi-sensory materials, students will gain and retain new literacy skills that are needed to help them fill in some missing gaps in their learning. My students could benefit from using sound tubs, pop-its, special markers, wiki sticks, and other hands-on materials. With these tools, they will be more engaged in their learning and get excited about reading and writing. Having their minds and their bodies connected while learning new literacy skills is key! Please consider donating to my project to help my students become successful loving readers.
