Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are an adventurous group that enjoys exploring the classroom. They are very early learners and most are in a classroom environment for the first time. They all approach learning in different ways and use a variety of modalities to increase their knowledge of the world.

I am primarily asking for multi-sensory resources such as kinetic sand and liquid encased floor mats.

These items will help my students increase academic, speech & language and social skills. As students learn through play, they gradually speak with greater frequency to both peers and adults. As language increases, so do positive, social interactions. Through exploration they learn more about their environment, which in turn, increases academic skills.

I'm also asking for a variety of fine-motor resources, such as zipper and lacing manipulatives, to help my students increase self-help skills so that they can become more independent in all environments.
