My Project

These books will continue to enhance their skills. It will also push them to read. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy because of all the different genres that I give them to read. My students enjoy the reading carpet because no matter what level they are on there is something on the shelf for them. Every book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care. My students know that in the reading area there are endless possibilities. The reading carpet for my students is like a beach day and they enjoy it. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind. The books that I chose, are books that I read growing up and it made me want to expand my horizons. Last school year I was able to snag one Bluford High book and my students and I read it in three days. My students wanted more Bluford high but sadly I didn't have enough to go around. Harry potter was the icing on the cake. My students read one Harry Potter book and watched the movies and now our class theme is Harry Potter. Students will be able to choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time.
