Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students come to school every day ready and eager to learn, despite all the barriers they have to overcome. They all come from families 200% below the poverty level, and about 40% of them are students with disabilities such as Autism Emotional Disturbance, and Speech or Language Impairment. Other students are English Language Learners or reside in homeless shelters in the Bronx. By providing them with notebooks, highlighters, glue sticks, and more, they will come to school each day feeling confident and ready to take on middle school! With these school supplies, they can thrive, knowing their critical thinking and learning will not be hindered due to factors out of their control. Please help me provide them with the necessary tools to become leaders of tomorrow!
