This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items in my cart (snacks, dry erase supplies, organizer cart, paper, magnetic clips) are ways to help students engage in learning, and create an environment that’s conducive to imagination, high energy and positive vibes! Please help me make my math classroom a place where my students want to be! I teach in the Highbridge section of the Bronx, students that experience tremendous socioeconomic challenges, health inequities, low expectations from many around them and few first hand images of academic excellence in their community. My goal is for every student to realize the genius they bring into the classroom, and these supplies help me create an atmosphere we’re students thrive and want to engage and push thru the difficulties.
