Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember the feeling of being a kid in a candy store, that' the same feeling I get being able to teach my wonderful science students. I teach all 8th grade students at Mater Academy East and I have some of the best students in the world!

My Science students absorb information like a sponge and can use the information given to them to do amazing things.

They not only participate in distance learning by having the the best attendance in the school, but they work hard and ask questions when they don't understand something. My students can build amazing simulations and and inventions that they use to inquire about difficult science concepts.

My Project

As a Science teacher, my students are constantly trying to find new ways to have our students interact with the environment around them.

Many of my students do not have the means to travel much beyond the desert of Las Vegas, so I want to bring a tropical forest to them!

This self sustaining ecosystem will allow my students a chance to explore a new place they have only ever seen in pictures. My students will get to see carnivorous plants and tropical plants, waterfalls, moss and more, with your help!
