Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember the feeling of being a kid in a candy store, that' the same feeling I get being able to teach my wonderful science students. I teach all 8th grade students at Mater Academy East and I have some of the best students in the world!

My Science students absorb information like a sponge and can use the information given to them to do amazing things.

They not only participate in distance learning by having the the best attendance in the school, but they work hard and ask questions when they don't understand something. My students can build amazing simulations and inventions that they use to inquire about difficult science concepts.

My Project

Teaching eighth grade, learning about magnets are a huge part of our curriculum. Having my students able to manipulate the magnets will help them better understand the concepts of them.

Manipulatives are such a huge part of learning in the 21st century.

This gives my students the opportunity to learn kinesthetically, which is not something they have been able to do lately. We will use this with the new hybrid model so all my students have an equal opportunity to run experiments with them.

I want to provide my students with all the tools for success and with your help I can!
