My Project

My students were impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic by removing their chances to play musical instruments in class groups. In order to rebuild our music program school-wide, I need my young students to become familiar with these percussion instruments. With no involvement with musical instruments, these kids struggle to foster an early love of band and orchestra which can impact their social and mental well-being. We wittnessed many amateur musicians connecting with others through their music during the isolation of Covid-19. All young children should be given the opportunity to experience this love of music.
