This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students are in grades PK4 - 2nd and they love hands-on activities that keep them engaged and motivated throughout our sessions. I provide speech therapy services to a large range of students with a variety of communication difficulties, from students who struggle to produce certain speech sounds to students who are non-verbal communicators.

This will be my second year at my school, and my students and I would love to have access to new toys and materials to keep speech therapy fun and engaging!

I am requesting a variety of toys that will serve as motivators during our sessions, such as Play-Doh, sensory toys, building toys, felt boards, etc. as well as hands-on activities and a variety of board games that we will use during therapy, such as Uno and Candyland. Additionally, I am trying to grow my classroom library with a variety of books to read throughout the year. I am also requesting some additional items that I need to make my classroom more functional (office drawers, desk organizer, etc.)

Overall, these items will be a huge help in my classroom and will really make a difference in the quality of therapy for my students. I have specifically searched for toys and games that are appropriate for the variety of ages and developmental levels that I see for speech. I am extremely appreciative of any donation, thank you!
