Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My project emphasizes the need for children to read and to look at reading as a positive thing. This request for a book display, rug, bean bag chair, and other seating allows my students to sit comfortably and have a variety of books to choose from. When students positively associate books with joy, it encourages them to read more independently.

“Let’s get lost in a good book!”, has always been a motto throughout my childhood and adult life.

When you can escape in a book, it allows for creativity, better literacy, and overall communication and comprehension skills in students. I️ want my students to be able to take their own time to enjoy books in a setting that ensures and encourages them to take steps towards finding the genre of books they like.
