Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Most of these items are for my PBIS (positive behavior) incentives of food and tangible items. By earning PBIS points in class they are allowed to exchange them for a food item or a tangible item. Knowing that they can do that increases their positive behavior in a class of 30.

As Mater Academy is a Title I school some supplies for my classroom are hard to come by.

The supplies on my wish list are used to create activities where students can partner up and use posters to show what they have learned. Many of the older boxed pencils have erasers that are hard, so a good pencil always comes in handy. As we all know, technology in the form of smartphones is always in need of charging. These charging ports will not only keep their phones charged but also keep them out of their reach during class time.

These students are like my own children and I want to see them achieve by using these incentives their achievement skyrockets.
