Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items in this project will help both my students and myself to maximize learning and engagement in the classroom. We are a small community school of need in Illinois. Many of my students live below the poverty line and rely on the resources provided by the school. While our school has blessed us with supplies that have been instrumental to providing the kids with a safe and effective learning environment, public funding is limited, leading to incomplete sets or missing resources. You’ll be aiding the students classroom routines and organization using items such as the mailbox, seat storage, and clipboards, and streamlining routines such as transitioning to seated activities with the carpet that has visible spaces and the pencil dispenser to keep student productivity strong with available resources. There are also many items on this list that will be used to organize and revitalize our classroom library, including storage, label protectors, and more.

By donating to this project, you will not only be helping to fill these gaps, but reach beyond and give these bright young minds a learning environment that is not simply adequate, but exceptional.
