My Project

This upcoming quarter, me and my 9th graders will be exploring the Hero's Journey using Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief as our core text.

Throughout the quarter, we will be annotating, taking notes, and consistently writing in our Writer's Notebooks with pens, markers, and crayons.

It would be awesome for each kid to have their own copy of Harry Potter as my school does not currently have it as a text set.

We will also be using folders to hold any writing handouts as well as worksheets associated with the reading. I hope to expand on the student's literacy skills and motivate them to enjoy reading by inviting them to read an engaging text.
