My Project

Hello, my name is Ms. John and I am a Special Education educator at a public high school located in Park Slope. Over the years working with young adults, I have witnessed first-hand the positive and rewarding impact extracurricular activities after school have on my students. Thinking back to my time as a student, after-school activities saved me from falling in with the wrong crowd. It was also an escape from my stressful home life. I want to create a safe space and an outlet for self-expression for youth who may be dealing with similar struggles. With that being said, I am starting a cosmetology club at my school. Unfortunately, we do not have the budget to fund this club. I am reaching out to ask for a helping hand in purchasing supplies. It will be greatly appreciated by my students and me.
