My Project

I am blessed to be a social worker at a Title I elementary school in Los Angeles. My role is to support families in need and my students' overall well-being by promoting coping strategies, self-efficacy, and resilience. My students are survivors of neighborhood violence, abuse, homelessness, grief, and trauma. They come to school to foster their curiosity and feel safe.

These supplies including flexible seating, storage, fidgets and are going to my calming classroom where I see my students and families when crisis occurs, for individual therapy sessions, group therapy sessions, and as a safe place for students to escape to.
