Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The variety of items requested will increase equity within the classroom by providing social studies literacy support for a student population at a variety of reading levels, varying levels of English proficiency, and unique needs students. The items selected are meant to increase student and teacher efficiency in the classroom with best practices to develop geography and history skills and increase classroom organization. The folders and paper trays will increase class organization both at the teacher and student levels. Headphones and the posters will assist teachers with increasing student engagement by introducing students to historical figures, sites and museums.

Increase efficiency and equity in the classroom improves both student positivity and content engagement.

The primary focus of the requested items is to improve student outcomes through the teaching of organizational skills and providing equitable access to inspiration figures, interviews, and the ability to “travel” to places of geographical and historical importance.
