This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items that I have chosen for my classroom will elevate my students TK experience by bringing kinestethic, visual, and tactile opportunities for them to learn Math and ELA. As a first year teacher, my goal for this project is to cultivate a nurturing classroom that addresses all types of learning styles, not just the ones I have mentioned. The items I have chosen will play a huge role in their play-based center time. As my students practice these skills and gain familiarity with sight words, counting, sequencing, and sorting, they will be Kindergarten ready. I want to build a classroom that contains all the elements that made me look forward to going to school as a child. A friendly teacher, lessons that can be accommodated, a safe classroom, and opportunities for me to grow as a learner. My students are special because they love to learn, explore, and really dive into their creativity in all subjects. I know that these items will make a huge difference in their learning.
