My Project

My school has chosen to implement a dance program for the students this year. In order to give my students the most engaging lessons in dance, they will need some new materials. Things like a new speaker for the classroom will allow the students to hear the music more clearly, allowing them to understand dancing to the beat of the music. A speaker will also allow a smoother transition during lessons, eliminating any reason for needing to open youtube or any other applications.

Items such as movement ribbons, teddy bears, and even "party lights" will allow me to bring experiences to the classroom that incorporate tactile learning, real-life connections, and a variety of movement opportunities that get students excited.

My special needs students will benefit greatly from having dance props as well. Dance education and movement are very important for children to have as part of their learning as it is known to increase focus skills, strength, hand-eye coordination, agility, creative expression, and more.
