My Students

Hi my name is Venus Cataldo and this will be my 4th year of teaching! This year will be my first year teaching physical science and I’m excited yet nervous since I won’t have all of the materials needed to teach my students to the best of my ability.

What I love about my students is that year after year they are the “underdogs” when it comes to test scores/ academics, and each and every year they prove that not only can they can DO science but they can excel academically!

I try to build confidence in my students throughout the entire year so that when they take their state test, they feel so relaxed and calm with an “I got this” attitude.

I’m mainly asking for supplies that my students can use on a daily basis since I teach at a low income school. So any donations can drastically help my students and their families not worry about the “money factor” and focus solely on learning!

My Project

These materials such as the headphones will be used to conduct my zoom classroom meetings with my students. The headphones will help my students hear the lessons clearly so they can be guided in their instruction. The TPT gift card will be used to get more content specific online resources that make the subjects I teach more relatable. The whiteboard will be used to put notes, announcements, and classroom expectations. The materials and others not listed will help my virtual classroom experience by helping me as a teacher be be able to plan and teach comfortably this year with the laptop accessories since I will be on my laptops and iPad 8+ hours a day. The school supplies such as the art supplies will help me make anchor charts that will grab my students attention each day I teach for the long journey of virtual learning. This year will be hard for me but with these materials, it will help me organize and execute virtual teaching comfortably this year and other years to come!
