Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students will be participating with a partner classroom in order to have a multi-week pen pal project. Students will practice the art of writing to friends, mastering the art of a witty greeting, and using the USPS. Students will decorate their envelopes, write letters, and practice using the postal service.

By partnering with another classroom, students will be able to understand the experience of their peers in other classrooms.

This will help to build friendships across schools and counties in order to create a community of learners.

Through building a positive community with their peers, students will work to build confidence in their ability to write using a more casual tone.
