My Project

"It takes a big heart to shape little minds". I am a Pre-K special education teacher in Brooklyn, NY. I began teaching in the DOE last December. I walked into a room that was used as storage, so a lot of the “necessities” were missing. I have a wide range of students in my class, many of which are on the autism spectrum. My students learn best one-on-one or in a small group with lots of hands on experiences. My goal is always to make my lessons fun and engaging. Coloring and painting on an easel is a great way for my students to build their upper body strength. Teaching my students to recognize the letters of the alphabet is an important skill in PreK. Providing my students with alphabet manipulates would make learning the letters and letter sounds so much more fun! I am looking forward to providing my students with the materials they need to succeed and grow!
