Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 10th and 11th graders are college bound inner city youth from the South Bronx. They love their school and their community. They are social justice warriors in the making and are starting to recognize their learning and socio-emotional needs need to be met in order to be good leaders.

Toner for our classroom will help my students as they prepare for the college process and the writing, drafting, and editing process.

Although students do a lot online, seeing their work in front of them as a tangible piece of art is important. The feeling of completing something and having an end product is a source of joy and confidence.
