My Project

I am a first year special education teacher at WAE. I want my students to be in a safe and enjoyable environment when they enter my classroom. So far to allow them to be in a safe and enjoyable environment, I have purchased multiple items for my students.

I plan on using my calming toys and fidget spinners to keep my students calm when they feel overstimulated, having a hard time adjusting to new things, or just are not having a good day.

The calendar and days of the week materials will be used during morning meetings. A positive morning meeting will allow students to start their day off becoming engaged and eager to learn.

The supplies and markers can be used during our science and social studies sessions. Science and social is done twice a week after lunch. I try to find different activities for them to do to help them stay engaged.

There are a few different things that make my students special. First, each one of the students enjoy learning new things. Second, all my students always enter the classroom with a positive attitude. Third, each one of my students are gifted with different talents.
