My Project

I am a second-year teacher. Last year I was a 1st grade reading teacher. This year I have transferred to a special education classroom.

I do not have a lot of resources for my classroom, since most things need to be different.

This summer I have been buying three things each paycheck I get. The things on this list will help me get a start on transforming my room.

There will be about 13 students going in and out of my room daily. Each student is different in their own way. These resources will help ALL of the students.

The sensory tiles will help students find their calm ground. The Velcro tape is needed for schedules on the wall and PEC visuals. The weighted blanket will help calm students. The sequins wall is a great sensory resource. The IEP Planner will help me keep my meetings and goals organized. The caddies will be used at the three tables in my classroom. They are color coated. The dot markers will be used at the beginning of the year for learning their name. The pencil grippers will teach the children the proper way to hold a pencil. The sensory toys will be used in our calm down area.
