Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are neurodivergent kids in a community that sees differences as a negative thing. In my classroom, differences make each student special and unique!

Many of my student come from dysregulated home and families, where learning and talking about their feelings isn't an option.

My goal for this project is to allow each student to find something in my room that conforts them, while I teach them how to regulate their bodies when they are feeling dysregulated.

The items requested will assist me in teaching my students different ways to react to situations that may arise and to provide them with tools that help them regulate their bodies while learning. We all learn better when we feel comfortable in our own skin!
