Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Some children have difficulty when it comes to managing their emotions and even more difficulty when it comes to expressing them. For most, utilizing these sorts of tools makes it a bit easier for them to understand what it is they are feeling which then leads to being able to express those feelings. Some of my students are on the spectrum and are non verbal. For them when expressing or regulating those emotions, these tools act as a communication source and helps me understand what it is that is bothersome, which makes it easier for me to assist. With plush toys or calming strips or any of these materials, I know I can continue to make a positive impact on my students and be able to make their lives that much more easier for them.
