My Project

I am a high school social worker who has the possibility of working with the whole school. On my regular case load I have about 10-15 students who come and talk with me regularly. During most of our conversations the students like to have something to fidget with to stay calm and regulated during our conversations.

This conversations may be light and fun, or more serious and trauma focused.

Creating a space that a student feels invited to come into and share what is on their mind, is one of my most important tasks of my job. Due to the number of kids I work with, fidgets do not last long. This project is to help restock my fidgets to keep the conversations going till the end of the year.
