My Project

My students are in grades 7-12 and all participate in an incentives based supplemental emotional support program. All of my students have a behavioral disability or require emotional support due to trauma they have experienced that impedes their ability to learn in a regular class setting.

My students are amazing students who are thriving despite the obstacles that life has thrown at them.

While they are not perfect, they all have the goal to grow socially, emotionally and academically and all are doing so, despite their barriers. While the emotional support program is intended to support them in and out of the classroom, we are in need of materials and incentives that will help to increase their engagement in school, allow for them to release aggression and pent up energy in productive ways and allow for them to build inter and intrapersonal skills.

We are asking for games such as body bumpers, board games, fidget toys and flexible seating to incorporate more engaging team building activities and support their learning needs throughout the school day.

Mrs. Young Mastery Charter School - Lenfest Grades 9-12
