My Students

I teach at a small, Title 1 school in Texas. While we have a lot of amazing resources, technology for our age group is sparce.

I have a precious, fun, energetic group of 4 year olds who are so eager and willing to learn!

With most students coming from low-income families, they don't get to experience much technology at home and I want them to be able to have opportunities for technology-based learning at school!

My Project

Due to upgrades with technology in the older grades in our school, we recieved a class set of Google Chrome Tablets! We are so excited, but we are not equipped with headphones to use them with so we do not disturb others.

My littles need headphones to use with their new tablets during centers.

I would like to set up a technology center where they use their tablets to listen to books, and use educational games to further their understanding and learning of our content. I have 6 groups going at once and it would be easier for the students in the tech center to use headphones to concentrate and not disturb the whole class. With the set of 10 pairs of headphones, that would allow 3 sets in use with the students at the center and allow me to switch the sets out to disinfect in between groups.
