The use of these supplies will be used to benefit my students by making them feel safe, and cared about, and will set them up for learning success in the classroom. I serve a wide range of students with many needs that need help in the area of mathematics.
We use a variety of classroom supplies throughout the school year to supplement their learning in the math classrooms such as warm ups, composition books, folders, calculators, tape, pencils, highlighters, clearboards with dry erase markers, tissues, rewards, first aid needs(bandaids), etc.
My students will need access to composition books for notes and assignments, folders to keep their practice work in, highlighters, dry erase markers for various collaborative classroom activities, pencils (we go through so many pencils!), extra erasers for when pencil erasers run out, pencil holders for student desks, and other items. I plan on using a reward system in my classroom next year for students to earn various incentives for positive behaviors such as the snacks that are listed. Many students aren't able to meet their nutritional needs throughout the day and some struggle to focus in class because they are hungry. These snacks will also be used on occasion to provide students with basic needs. Most students struggle with getting basic school supplies, such as what is explained above, and I would like to provide them with the basics each and every day.
