My Project

After 17 years of being a School Counselor, I am excited to finally have my own space to call my home. Help me create the perfect Zen Den, where students can come and feel comfortable expressing their feelings and improve their social and emotional well-being. I want to create a warm and inviting space where students feel safe and can calm down if they are having a rough day.

I will be providing my students with a lot of sensory materials which will help them with self-regulation.

These materials will be very beneficial in supporting their needs and encouraging them to make productive choices throughout the school day. I love working with my students and look forward to providing them with games and activities which will help support their needs.

I am so excited for my counseling students to finally have a place to call their own. Now that I will finally have my own space, I will need a desk chair so that I have a place to sit and do my paperwork. The pillows and carpet will create a calming space for the kids to go sit. My kids will love the lava lamp and the vibrating pillow, both which will help calm them down if they are upset or having a stressful day. I know that this new space will help them tremendously in being the best student that they can be throughout their school day.
