This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our classroom, my students rely on a whiteboard to be used as a projecting board and writing board. It is challenging for students to interact with the material projected on the board and often have to copy problems in their notebooks to solve them. With this interactive board, my students will be able to practice math problems in real-time on the board and get a better opportunity to participate in the lesson. In my science class, the whiteboard will help students with matching vocabulary and labeling as we learn new concepts in class. in my ELA class my students will be able to visually follow along with the different novels, and short stories we will read. In US History my students will be able to view different maps, watch certain videos that reflect the topic we are learning. The upgraded speakers are also a plus for videos in class. The use of whiteboards is a daily activity in my classroom. Using the whiteboard, allows me to see exactly what they are doing, shares their work, and share their verbal processing. It also encourages engagement as well as fulfilling the different learning styles within my classroom.
