This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school is in the heart of Elmhurst, Queens, NY. Most of our families are hard-working families who will do anything for their children. We have undergone a major budget crisis this year, unfortunately. Our students need scientific calculators in order to complete their seventh grade mathematics curriculum and NYS Grade 7 Test requirements. Receiving these calculators earlier in our school year will help our students practice using them in class regularly, which will allow them to perform better on The NYS Grade 7 Mathematics Exam! Thank you.
