Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My elementary students are sweet, expressive, and eager to learn. They also have a variety of abilities that vary from their general education peers. They need differentiated lessons tailored to their learning needs as well as the ability to work in different areas in the classroom so that they are at their most comfortable to be able to learn.

I love how every individual in my class is looking to succeed.

They have such drive and are eager to please all the time. They are also very creative! They love the theatre. They will be in our Frozen school play and still sing songs from the musical they were in last year. I would like a chance to provide them with different experiences within the classroom.

My Project

I am a first-year special education teacher attempting to finish my year strong. It is often hard to be able to address the needs of each child. I want to be able to provide as many tools for their success as possible.

Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them.

Currently, they can either choose to sit in their desks, on the floor or by the teacher's desk. I would like to be able to provide them with different options.

Fluency cards will help my level C readers increase their F&P reading levels. The new books will provide interesting reading material that keeps my students' attention.

I also need a new laptop to use with my students. My 8-year-old laptop has been crashing more often than not and it is usually when I am in the middle of a lesson plan.
