My Project

Hello! This is my first year teaching at DCHS. I am excited to guide my students to love the wonderful world of science. I was hired two days before school started. My room was completely empty, it didn't even have a desk for me to sit at so that I have a place to create their lesson plans and help them one on one. I had to borrow one from another teacher. My goal isn't just to teach them curriculum but I also want to teach them life skills such as dealing with conflict among each other. Many of them have a bad experience with science so I want to make science fun and try to keep things as organized as possible to help my students. The items I have selected will help make my room feel more welcoming. It will supply items for my students to use when we begin our projects, (we will make planes and roller coasters) With COVID-19 still around I also want to supply them with antibacterial soap. My students are very good kids and deserve the best opportunities. The storage drawers will be used to store the arts and crafts supplies along with giving them a place to turn in their work. The fidgets are for my kiddos who have a little harder time focusing. The posters are to remind them they are amazing. The laminator will allow me to laminate activities so that I can get many uses out of them. The hanging folders will be used to put the work they may have missed so that they are able to keep on track. Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read this and help me with my sweet kiddos.
