Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Since the beginning of the year, I have wanted to set my classroom up with extra seating options for several reasons. One, the main reason being simply not having enough seating for my class sizes at times. The second reason being to provide comfortable seating for students with sensory difficulties, or who have medical issues and cannot comfortably sit in our provided desks for long periods of time. Third, I love providing a welcoming environment for students, because I love having them there! It’s a point of pride when I have prior students come back to visit or hang out during their free study periods.

For the color printer, I would love to be able to provide students with color illustrations to accompany the texts we read.

Last year, we read Hamlet and we performed a Gallery Walk, and one of the Galleries was specific images detailing scenes from Hamlet or related art pieces… and it would have been much more immersive and capture their imagination and interest.
