This is my 10th year teaching 5th grade! I have enjoyed every year with all of my students, but this year is going to be special. Ten years is a milestone, and I can't wait to share this year with some amazing 5th graders in their final year of elementary school!
The items I have requested in my project will give my students and me a REFRESH of our room.
I'm asking for some things that we have not had before, along with new and updated items that we are really in need of, to make our classroom feel like home! Having their own headphones is something that always makes my students feel special so tht they do not have to share but are able to call something their own that very first day!
Along with items for the classroom, I felt it was super important to include items for the students to help them be prepared to learn for the day. A lot of our students come to school with hungry tummies and need a boost in the morning. I try to get snacks,as I can throughout the year.
I am praying that this project will be funded so that I can get this year started out on the right path. Being able to give my students a fresh start, a comfortable and safe space to spend much of their day, and somewhere to feel loved while they learn and grow is so important to me!
