This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Last year, I submitted a Donor's Choose campaign of materials to help fund the learning in my classroom. I was amazed at the help I received. I didn't have much on the list, but what I did have made a huge difference for my students who are multilingual learners coming to the US from other places. Their journey here sometimes leaves them with little supplies to start the year off. Help me make their first year of learning English less stressful by providing them valuable materials including headphones, file folders, pencils and other items! In a dual language classroom, more than just learning English is happening in my classroom. I take pride in being able to support, engage, and teach in the most culturally responsive way.
