My Students

A typical day in my classroom would be hard working students that are in need of a change of pace! We follow a very tight schedule of math, reading, history, science, etc. However, I am always looking for new ways to engage the students in the curriculum.

My students are amazing.

I am always challenging them to be better thinkers, writers, and mathematicians...and they do their best to rise to the occasion. I also work with a group of Student Leaders as their advisor. This is a group dedicated to setting good examples for their peers, being mentors to the younger students, and getting involved in charitable activities.

My Project

I would like to bring more technology into my classroom through the use of an iPad with a Smart Cover. Through the iPad my students will able to access resources such as historical resources to reinforce our social studies units, demos of science experiments, access to math models on the curriculum provided website and access to information regarding charitable projects for my Student Leaders.

Donations toward this project will improve my classroom because not all of my students have access to a computer at home or the internet.

This project would allow more access to technology for my students than just the one day a week computer lab class they get at school.
