This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me provide more resources for the middle school students I serve in the South Bronx. I see both mandated and at-risk kids for counseling.

Throughout the day I also deal with students in crisis.

This can be a kid who is having suicidal thoughts or trouble managing their emotions and is in a behavioral crisis.

Having more resources in my office will better help me teach them the skills they need to succeed. Some of these resources will also make students feel more comfortable opening up to me. Social/emotional games really help a student begin to talk when they might feel uncomfortable.
