This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
I currently teach students in an area where all the students have free lunches. Poverty has a constant presence in the community and the students that I teach often see school as an escape from the world outside. In my school, we encourage independent learning and strive to help students become innovative thinkers. We have an hour each week where students are working independently on their Genius Hour Project. The goal of Genius Hour Project is for students to research and create project that interest them, this required students to have a headphone which they can work independently on their laptops without interruption. However, with 120 students I cannot afford everyone what they needs to be successful. Please consider donate 21 headphones to my students to help them complete their Genius Hour Project. Your generosity toward my class is greatly appreciated. On behalf of my students, I want to say thank you for your support!
