Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
My students are low income first generation English Language Learners who struggle with language acquisition in both Spanish and English. Most parents cannot help a lot with their education or afford assistive technologies to bridge the knowledge and learning gaps students have.
My students were also recently affected by the tornado that destroyed Walnut Hill Elementary and have struggled in terms of having the necessary resources to learn and access information.
Despite all the ways in which their lives changed, my students maintain a positive attitude and try very hard every day. They aim to improve constantly and perform at their highest. You have no idea how much your donation could change their lives!
My Project
Help us get back on track.
Help me give my students access to information and provide the resources they need to learn about their world with these Samsung tables and the Apple TV.
I have 29 awesome students in urban Dallas. Our school was recently hit by a devastating tornado and we are in the process of rebuilding and getting back to our normal routines. The kids are doing a great job of working hard, despite the fact that our school was a total loss and students and the entire staff were moved to an abandoned building in a matter of two days.
We are a Dual Language classroom and our school is a proud Blue Ribbon recipient for the second time. I want to make sure my kids have the resources they need to achieve their goals.
Ever since the tornado hit our school we have struggled with technology since a lot of it was damaged or lost. As of now we don't have the resources in our classroom to allow the students to use the digital tools they need for research, practice, exploring and learning. Being able to use those tools allow the students to receive feedback promptly, expand their understanding by engaging in conversations regarding real life situations, and exploring new interests.
Help me provide those tools to make sure students have these opportunities!
