Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Studies show that students who are given sufficient play time, to compensate for the large amount of time they spend working, typically perform better academically. And with my students already being at risk of not graduating, I'd like to give them as many opportunities as possible.
With that being said, these items will be used for my students to have a variety of games and activities to enjoy while at recess.
The students go to recess everyday for 15 minutes. However, they are one of seven 4th grade classes that go to recess at the same time. Which means that they have to share the slides, swings, etc. with all the other students.
Ideally, I would like to provide my students with a variety balls and equipment to play with in lieu of the playground games. My students work hard everyday in class and I'd like for them to be able to play hard too.
