My Project

Greetings friends and families, my goal for this school year is to create a classroom reading area that is cozy and inviting for my scholars. Students tend to do exceptionally well when they become great readers. They develop crucial critical thinking and problem solving skills. They are also able to express themselves even more as they build on their vocabulary and gain more knowledge overall. I have the books needed for the library, I just need to create the environment conducive for reading and learning. My 5th graders deserve a classroom tailor made for success. The bookcase with the cushioned seat, in addition to the throw pillows, will make the reading area more inviting. The magnetic book shelf allows me to display new reads each month. The puck lights indicate the voice levels allowed during independent reading time. I threw in some deodorant because independent reading time is usually after recess. Each year proves that having deodorant handy creates a good smelling classroom after recess and limits unwanted distractions.
