Mr. Beachy’s Plan for a Comfortable, Safe Space

Help me give my students proper hygiene and utensils that will properly equip them with the ability to better handle stress under stressful situations. I also want help making my space a comfier space for students.

My Project

I work in an area that is very diverse with everyone’s journey to high school being different. Some students were raised by their grandparents, some by aunts and uncles, some by best friend’s parents and others by their siblings who are newly graduated from high school. Needless to say, most of them live a life full of stress and often don’t know if they will be eating that day other than the lunches that the school provides. I often have to supply these students with food packages, hygiene products and other supplies that every day people often do not think about. That is why it was important that I asked for the hygiene products in my plan.

The very first thing a student came up to me and said, when I started at my position, was, “Do not forget to put stress balls in your room.

They really help with my stress and ADHD.” That is why I believe that the stress-relief items were an important ask. The students love to play with them when they are having a bad day, a stressful day, or even if they just need something to tittle with while doing their work. I also want to create a comfortable setting for my students. The bean bag chairs would be very popular amongst the students.
