This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember when all your projects and essays where done with paper, pen and pencils? Well the times have changed and I"m looking for your help. I need flash drives so that my students can save their computer work on them. With the ever changing times so has technology in the classroom.

I work in an economically disadvantage nieghborhood that has a high poverty level.

The students in my class are either Latino or African-American. There are 30 students enrolled in my class, of these students only 6 have computer access at home, because of this all of assignments that require any use of the computer have to be done in class. The 2 computers that we have in the classroom do not have sufficient storage space, which make storing student work every difficult.

My Project

There are 30 students enrolled in my class, of these students only 6 have computer access at home, because of this all of assignments that require any use of the computer have to be done in class. The 2 computers that we have in the classroom do not have sufficient storage space, which make storing student work every difficult. By having enough flash drives, each student will be able to save their work on an individual drive and be able to locate it quickly and work more efficiently. They will be able to edit and revise their essays. They will also be able to create PowerPoint presentations and share them with the class.

Please fund our project so that my students can start working more effectively with technology.

As it is right now getting a computer generated projects takes forever. Your donation will be greatly appreciated and will help not only this group of students but also those to come in the future.
