My Project

Our students are among the most vulnerable population, communicating through gestures, AAC devices and eye gaze. Many have physical and occupational therapy need.

During their adaptive physical education classes this project aims to improve mood and cognitive function reduce anxiety and depression through movement activity and meditation.

This project's goal is to improve emotional well being, as well as, cardiovascular overall health for our students with disabilities. People who exercise regularly have better mental health and emotional wellbeing, and lower rates of mental illness. These supplies will accomodate for the unique needs of our students to better improve our physical education focus on living a healthy lifestyle both mentally and physically.
