My Students

I haven’t yet met the lovely group of kiddos who will be my first class. What I do know about them is that they are curious, sweet, energetic, and talkative!

I know they are coming to me with a love for learning and excitement.

Second grade is a great age when students are vocal about what they do and don't enjoy, and I am hoping that incorporating movement into our everyday routine will motivate and encourage students in the classroom even with those things that aren't as fun to them.

My Project

I am a first-year teacher who is super excited to welcome my second grade students! I know how important movement is to students' success during the school day which is why I would love to give them flexible seating options!

My classroom theme is going to be Where the Wild Things Are, as the book is one of my favorites, and I'm hoping some subtle everyday movement will keep my little wild things engaged and motivated.

My hope is to provide a table with these new seating options where students may take turns using the seats as desired, so long as they are staying focused on the tasks at hand.
